Maths – VAT Calculation Formula

If your VAT is 20% and you want to calculate how much VAT should you pay for 100 EUR:

(0.2*100)/(1+0.2) = 16.67 EUR

This is how to calculate how much is the sum without VAT of 100 EUR with VAT:

100/(1+0.2) = 83.33 EUR
